Why resin
A nameplate that does not look like everyone else's
Most nameplates are laser-cut acrylic or a printed sticker on steel, and from three feet away they all look the same. A resin plate is poured, so the marble veining and the gold leaf are physically inside it and catch the light differently as you walk past. It has depth that a printed one cannot have. We make them for flat doors, bungalow gates, shop fronts and office desks across Gondia. The usual request is a family surname in gold on black marble, often with a small house icon or a door number worked in, but we have done first names, couple names, shop names and Marathi and Urdu script. Tell us the name exactly as it should be spelled, roughly how wide the space is, and whether it is going somewhere that gets direct sun or rain — that last one matters, and it changes what we recommend.

Nameplates — questions we get asked
Will it survive outdoors in the sun and rain?
It depends on where exactly it is going, which is why we ask. A plate under a covered porch or inside a lobby is no problem. A plate in direct afternoon sun on an open gate is harder on any epoxy — over years, strong continuous UV can dull or yellow resin. If that is your situation, tell us and we will recommend a build and a placement that will last, or tell you honestly if resin is the wrong choice for that spot.
Can you do Marathi, Hindi or Urdu script?
Yes. Send the name typed out in the script you want — as text we can copy, or a clear image — rather than describing it. We will set it and send it back for you to check character by character before we pour.
Can you add a house number or a logo?
Yes, both. Numbers, a small house or door icon, a flat number, or a shop logo can all be worked into the design. For a logo, send us the highest-quality version you have.
How is it fixed to the door or wall?
Most are screw-fixed or mounted with a heavy-duty adhesive pad, depending on the surface and the weight of the plate. Desk plates are free-standing on a base. Tell us the surface — wood, metal gate, plaster, tile — and we will tell you what we would use.

Craftsvilla Studio is at Ramnagar Municipal School, behind the New Ramnagar Police Station, Ramnagar, Gondia, Maharashtra. Message us on WhatsApp before you come so we can make sure someone is there and have the finishes out for you to look at.
How do I look after a resin piece?
Keep it out of long spells of direct sunlight — like all epoxy resin, it can warm and discolour over years of hard UV. Wipe it with a soft dry or barely damp cloth; skip scouring pads, thinners and strong cleaners. Do not leave it soaking in water. If you plan to put hot cups or dishes straight onto a coaster or tray, tell us when you order and we will advise on the right build for that piece.

Resin is poured and cured by hand, so colour, flow and gold-leaf placement vary slightly from piece to piece. That variation is what makes each one yours, and it is not a defect. Sizes, finishes and lead time for a custom order are confirmed in writing before we begin.
